New Lamborghini Huracan EVO Ready For 2019
Lamborghini has officially revealed the facelift of their Audi R8 rival, dubbed the Huracan EVO. It receives a plethora of updates over its predecessor, such as some aggressive new styling, some tweaked out performance bits and a new exhaust system.
The exterior of the Huracan EVO features new 20-inch alloy wheels, meaner air intakes, revised front and rear bumpers and a sporty new exhaust system with pipes on either side of the number plate area. There are also new front and rear diffusers and a new rear wing. The interior receives a new 8,4-inch infotainment display, fitted with Apple CarPlay, sat-nav and internet radio.
The Lamborghini Huracan EVO features the same 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 as the first-gen Huracan, except now the engine is accompanied by an uprated exhaust system and all-new titanium intake valves.
As a result, the EVO is capable of putting down 470kW of power and 600Nm of torque, accelerating it from 0-100km/h in just 2.9-seconds before maxing out at 325km/h. These figures may sound familiar, mostly because they are identical to the performance figures of the Huracan Performante.
The four-wheel-drive system of the V10 Supercar also receives a host of new tech to complement its dynamic performance. Updates include a new rear-wheel steering system, four-wheel torque vectoring, as well as Lamborghini’s new Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) central processing unit which allows the chassis to be customised to the driver’s preferences.
The real highlight, though, is Lamborghini’s latest version of their Piattaforma Inerziale (LPI) system, which uses a network of gyroscopes and sensors all around the Huracan EVO that constantly adapts the cars traction control, suspension and torque-vectoring to any-given situation.
Local arrival dates are yet to be confirmed, but we can expect the first deliveries of the Huracan EVO to be made around the third-quarter of 2019.
